Getting Started With eGifts

The best way to start saving money with Snip is by understanding how our eGifts work. If you've ever used a gift voucher before, you'll pick it up in no time.

In simple terms, Snip allows you to buy digital gift vouchers, at a discount, to supercharge your spending power. It's a bit like cashback, but the savings are made upfront.

The eGifts are delivered to your email address and work through each retailer's own gift voucher scheme, making them quick to buy and easy to use.

  1. Look through the brands and offers and select the eGift you would like to redeem.

2. Once you’ve found what you’re looking to buy, it’s important to check how your eGift can be spent. Every eGift on Snip will say whether it can be redeemed in-store, online or both.

3.  Type in how much you want on the eGift and Snip will calculate what you need to pay and show you how much you will save

4. Once you’re happy with your order, confirm your email address and billing details.

5. Then proceed to our secure checkout, and enter your card details. You can also save your card details for a quicker checkout experience next time.

6. Depending on your banking provider, you may be taken to an authentication page to confirm your purchase.

7. Once your payment has been processed you can press the access voucher code button to use it straight away, or if you're using it later you will receive a link to your eGift via your email address.

TOP TIPS:

  • For redemption in-store, you can either print out the eGift or just show the code on your smartphone at the checkout.
  • Turning up the brightness on your mobile will help scan the eGifts.
  • Depending on your mobile device many eGifts can also be imported into Google Wallet.
  • Using the eGift online will vary depending on each retailer, but it’s usually as simple as entering the code during the payment part of the checkout process.
  • Most eGifts will also come with their own PIN that you’ll need to provide when prompted in-store or online.
